Transport Solutions

The OTTE robot efficiently transports containers, such as from the potting area to the culture hall, precisely where needed, fully automatically. This automation simplifies time-consuming transport tasks, enabling them to be completed at the touch of a button. The OTTE robot can also be configured as a mobile lift or a fully automatic stacking unit for stacked cultures.

Rail-Guided Transport Carts

OTTE’s rail-guided transport carts move your benches automatically and continuously to the desired locations. Each cart is custom-designed to meet specific requirements, with options for single or multi-layer designs and integrated collection or pushing equipment. These transport carts can push and pick up containers from one or both sides, powered by a bus bar, and can be connected digitally to a central computer system.

Lift and Handling Systems

Various mobile or stationary lift systems facilitate the handling of containers in cultivation areas or specific set points. Buffer stations provide a short-term supply of empty containers to potting robots, functioning as magazine positions with automatic conveyors. Stationary stackers from OTTE can stack and unstack empty containers, serving as an alternative to the container moving system.

OTTE Container Moving System

The OTTE container moving system automates the feeding of multiple delivery units with empty mobile containers from a central magazine. This system, suspended from runners, can receive and deliver containers at several locations.

EMMA 2.0

Building on the original “Emma” system developed by Mr. Jörg Reischl from Duderstadt, Germany, OTTE Metallbau GmbH & Co. KG has advanced the device to “Emma 2.0.” Recognized with the “Innovation Prize Horticulture 2019” in the “Technical” category, this system simplifies the movement of containers in manual mobile bench systems. Customers have praised “Emma 2.0” for its enhanced usability.

The device features two suspension clamps for attaching to a mobile bench and two handles for manual transportation of the 24 kg machine. It is designed for flexible portability between benches or tracks, moving on four magnetic rollers along the bench system’s track pipes. Controlled via remote with variable speed options, it is powered by a lithium-ion battery.

For rolling mobile bench systems, the “Emma 2.0-RM” variant is available.
